Hi, I'm Isaiah

I’m currently a senior in the Bachelor of Design in Interaction Design program at the University of Washington, located in Seattle. I aspire to create innovative products, ideas, and experiences that redefine how we interact with the world.

Why choose me?

I invent beyond convention

I’m driven by the question, what doesn’t exist yet? Grounded in research, I explore unfamiliar ideas to uncover new possibilities.

“In my 30 years of working in the technology industry, I have never seen something like this...”

Recognized for early creative talent

I’ve been recognized from a young age for creative intuition and design maturity beyond my years.

Professor Axel Roseler from the Master of Human-Computer Interaction and Design program showcased a prototype I made as a second-year undergraduate to his graduate-level class.

"Working with Isaiah was such a pleasure. He brings a ton of curiosity, thoughtful questions, and genuine passion for interaction design to everything he does. I was especially impressed by how naturally he ran usability tests, picking up on subtle participant cues and asking just the right follow-ups.

Over time, I saw him grow a lot, becoming more confident, organized, and intentional in how he communicates and collaborates with others. He’s open to feedback, eager to learn, and always looking to connect the dots between user needs and good design.

Isaiah’s enthusiasm and drive make him a real bright spot on any team. He’s got strong instincts, a great attitude, and is clearly on the path to becoming an excellent product designer. Keep going, Isaiah, add oil."

Who am I?

I love the outdoors. You can usually find me snowboarding, cycling, hiking, or paddle boarding after hours. Staying active not only keeps me healthy but also gives me time to think and explore new places.

My second year of undergraduate I founded a organization Chinese Adoptee Circle at the University of Washington. Since then I have ran a leadership board of total 12 leaders to organize and host events and activities for 60 students who are adopted from China to provide a safe community on campus.

I was the only contracted student photographer hired for three years. In addition I won mulitple back to back state competiions placing 1st and second place.

Founder of a Club for Adopted Students With Over 50 Members

Coming to the University of Washington as a Chinese adoptee, I wanted to create a space where adopted students could feel seen and supported.

I founded the Adoptee Circle to help members connect and build meaningful relationships. The group has since grown to over forty members and three leads, hosting weekly events that foster understanding and belonging.

Leading this community has taught me the value of teamwork, empathy, and designing spaces where people feel truly understood.
